Another relationship with time

In a long retreat, the effects are once again sought in continuity. The work becomes quieter, more stable, sometimes more demanding. It is in this consistency that medicine acts in depth.

A personalized approach

Long retreats are not standardized.
The duration, pace, and location of ceremonies are determined based on each individual’s background and goals.
A preliminary interview helps clarify:

  • your intentions
  • your previous experience
  • any contraindications
  • the relevance of an extended stay

Frame & Safety

A clear framework
The proposed work takes place within a specific framework, designed to protect both the participants and the integrity of the tradition. Retreats are held in small groups to allow for individualized attention and support throughout the stay.

Rules that aid healing
The rules regarding diet, temporary abstinence, silence, and discipline are not arbitrary formalities. They support the work of the plants and help maintain a stable and consistent environment. Following these rules is an integral part of the process.

Therapeutic supervision
Each participant receives daily support. The ceremonies are guided by experienced Shipibo healers, and a team of facilitators ensures continuity within the framework, listening and integrating the experiences. Discussion times allow participants to establish reference points and avoid isolated or excessive interpretations.

Discernment & safety
Safety also involves the ability to say no. Certain medical or psychological situations may require postponement or adaptation of the proposed work. Ayahuasca is never administered systematically: it is part of an individualized protocol and remains one tool among many. This framework aims for a simple balance: immersion in the Peruvian Amazon, rigorous monitoring, and respect for a progressive care process.

Before coming

Understanding the framework before committing
Before considering a retreat, it is important to understand that the work offered is part of a specific framework. A retreat here corresponds to a traditional supervised diet: it involves specific dietary rules, temporary abstinence, periods of silence, and a commitment for the duration of the stay.

Preliminary assessment & contraindications
Each request is subject to a preliminary discussion to verify that your personal, medical, and psychological situation is compatible with this setting. Certain conditions (psychiatric treatments, heart problems, active addictions, particular vulnerabilities) may constitute contraindications or require postponement. Ayahuasca is never automatic: it is only offered when it makes sense in the person’s process.

Advance preparation Advance
preparation is required: dietary adjustments, gradual reduction or cessation of certain substances if necessary (always under medical supervision), clarification of intentions, and understanding of the rules of the stay. Coming to the Amazon for a retreat is not about “having an experience,” but rather entering into a structured process supported by diet, treatments, herbal baths, and daily guidance.

Integration time
This framework requires willingness and ability to comply with common rules. It is also advisable to allow for integration time upon return, so that the work undertaken can be effectively incorporated into daily life.
