Ayahuasca, a sacred visionary plant
In the heart of the Amazon rainforest, ayahuasca is much more than a plant. It is a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds, a sacred medicine used for centuries by the indigenous peoples of Amazonia to heal, guide and restore inner harmony. For Shipibo maestros, ayahuasca, with its visionary properties, is their principal instrument of observation, like our telescopes or microscopes. Only more sophisticated, because the plant possesses a consciousness, a spirit called the Madre de l’ayahuasca, with which it is possible to communicate and obtain relevant information.
Ayahuasca from a modern perspective
Prepared from the Banisteriopsis caapi liana and chacruna (Psychotria viridis) leaves, ayahuasca is central to ceremonies conducted by maestros or onanya (traditional healers). These ceremonies are a sacred space where teaching plants open the way to self-knowledge, healing and deep connection with nature.
An inner journey guided by ancient wisdom
Each ceremony is an encounter with oneself. Through healing chants, called icaros, participants are accompanied on a process of emotional, energetic and spiritual purification. This inner journey can reveal profound aspects of our being, release old emotions, and bring a new understanding of our life path.
A healing, heart-opening experience
Ayahuasca acts as an inner teacher, inviting transformation, compassion and balance. Many people report a profound sense of peace, a lightening of past burdens and a new clarity in their lives.
At our center, each retreat is guided with respect, kindness and safety, following the Amazonian tradition handed down for generations. We create a space of listening, support and integration, so that each participant can live this experience with confidence.
Tradition meets modern awareness
Today, ayahuasca is also attracting the attention of the modern world for its positive effects on mental health, depression and anxiety. However, beyond any therapeutic aspect, this medicine remains above all a spiritual sacrament.
It reminds us of our deep connection with the Earth, plants and the universe – and invites us to live with greater presence, love and authenticity.
An invitation to transformation
Participating in an ayahuasca retreat means choosing to get back to basics: listening to nature, reconnecting with your heart and walking with awareness.
Each ceremony is an opportunity for inner rebirth, a step towards healing and balance between body, mind and spirit.
Ayahuasca is not an experience to be understood, but to be felt.
It works where words no longer suffice – in the silence of the heart and the wisdom of plants.
